Both are prestigious recognitions, given to only the best lawyers in each state. For more information on the selection process for both please see below.

Best Lawyers In America

Best Lawyers in America 2017 - William W. Hurst“Best Lawyers” compiles lists of outstanding attorneys by conducting exhaustive peer-review surveys in which thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers. The Nomination and voting process for “Best Lawyers in America” is a five (5) step process including; nominations, peer review, analysis of feedback, eligibility check, and results released. This five step process is necessary to ensure the quality of the attorneys listed in the publication.

The nomination process beings with all the lawyers who were listed in the previous year’s publication being automatically nominated. Then clients, lawyers, and marketing teams nominate additional lawyers. The ballots are created based on these nomination to specifically include only the lawyers nominated in the voting lawyer’s geographical area to ensure the peer reviews are accurate and distributed to lawyers currently listed so they may vote.

During the voting process the lawyers are asked, “If you were unable to take a case yourself, how likely would you be to refer it to this nominee?” Nominees are given a 1-5 rating and the voters may leave additional comments. Once the votes are in the “Best Lawyers” staff tallies the votes and checks the selected lawyers against their State Bar Associations to ensure the lawyers are in good standing. Finally, listed lawyers are notified of their inclusion and the list is released to the public.

Super Lawyers

Super Lawyers 10 Years - William W. Hurst

A “Super Lawyer” is one who has “attained a high degree of peer recognition, meets ethical standards and has demonstrated some degree of professional achievement in their field.” SuperLawyers is a state-by-state “rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas.” Their objective: produce a credible and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for other attorneys, businesses and general consumers searching for legal counsel. For that purpose, lawyer ratings are strictly limited to those who can be retained by the public, i.e., private practice and Legal Aid attorneys.

The legitimacy of the Super Lawyers selection process has been recognized by courts and Bar Associations around the country. Super Lawyers does NOT allow a lawyers to “buy their way” onto the list, purchase an advertising page, nor receive inclusion as the result of purchasing a product. The attorney-led research staff reviews a “proprietary listing of more than 150 database and online sources, as well as national and local legal trade publications.” They [the research team] specifically seeks out lawyers that possess what they term as “Star Search Credentials: certification as a specialist in a particular area of practice, admission to a prestigious colleges or academies etc. The three (3) steps of the Super Lawyers selection process are “sophisticated, comprehensive and complex”. Before the final selection, the Super Lawyer’s research staff:

  • Checks each candidate’s standing with the local licensing authority.
  • Asks each candidate if they have ever been subjected to disciplinary or criminal proceedings.
  • Performs Internet searches on each candidate to ensure there are no outstanding matters that would reflect adversely on the lawyer.
  • Contact each lawyer to ensure accuracy of all published information.

    FAQs
    Our Fees

It cost $0 up front to hire our office. We work on a contingency fee basis, which means you only pay us if we settle your case or obtain a verdict on your behalf.

If we’re unable to obtain a settlement of verdict for you we eat the costs we’ve advanced to litigate your case, which includes costs for ordering medical records, filing your case, hiring experts, deposing witnesses, and many other things.

If we do settle your case or obtain a verdict for you our standard rate is 33% of the settlement or verdict, plus reimbursement for the expense we’ve previously advanced. Our fee never increases like some personal injury attorneys, even if we have to take your case to trial.

    Case Worth

As a victim, establishing damages, negotiating with the insurance company, or filing a lawsuit can be daunting and next to impossible without the assistance of an experienced lawyer. As a result, if you have been hurt in an accident, it is important that you contact an attorney as soon as possible to help you recover the compensation to which you are entitled under Indiana law.

    Why Hire?

Choosing an attorney that has experience dealing with personal injury law is important to protect your legal rights. If you are trying to recover damages from a business or other type of organization, you can bet that they are going to have a legal team on their side.

    Medical Bills

If you were injured by an accident you may be struggling to determine who is responsible for paying your medical bills and holding them accountable. Speak to an experienced personal injury lawyer at The Law Office of Hurst Limontes LLC and learn if we may be able to help.

    Recovery

After you have been injured, you are entitled to compensation. The type and amount of compensation depends on the injury, bills, the cause of the injury, negligence/bad faith of the defendant, etc. The attorney you retain can also heavy influence your recovery through knowledge, experience, and dedication. Legal terms and phrases can be confusing even after you retain an attorney. If you have been injured, you may wonder how much your case is worth or what your “damages” are. The worse the injuries, the higher the value of the case and the greater need for an experienced attorney
